I had to share my newest crafty obsession: the Weave-It Loom. It's one of the most elegant simple devices I’ve ever used. It’s a real pleasure to use a piece of equipment like this, where every tiny bit of the design has a purpose. It’s easy to use and the resulting squares are beautiful.

Create fantastic animals with shells. You can find tools and materials to do it in MartaStewart .

If you want to do something a bit more practical with your crochet, you'll need to know how join them together. This fun little video from Teresa's Crochet takes you through the steps you'll need to take to turn your squares into a blanket, scarf, poncho or crafty item of your choice.
