Bring the thread through at (A) and make a sloping stitch to (B). bring the thread through at (C) and make a sloping stitch to (D). Bring the thread through at (E), then continue working alternate stitches on each side in this way until the shape is lightly filles.
When this stitch is used there is usually an outline of Stem Stitch or Chain Stitch worked around the shape.
